Dendrology

  1. Your Dendrology slide deck gives such a good insight, the maps are one of the best thing in your slides, and you give a good understanding of how the tree was and is used today. Some of the slides goes twice though at the end of the presentation.

  2. I enjoyed your slides about the trees in Washington State. I was actually shocked to read that Red Alder was the most important hardwood in the Pacific Northwest, but I googled it and it's true! I had always thought of red alder as a non-commercial tree. But, you accidentally put Red Alder as the common name for Western Hemlock and also put under Western Yew that it is the most important hardwood in the Pacific Northwest.
